Both are fiberglass, cab-height A.R.E. truck caps built on the same core platform. The CX Series is our upgraded signature model — frameless side windows, full carpeted headliner, and premium finish details. The CX Classic uses framed windows and a simpler headliner package at a friendlier price. Same durability, different feature set.
For tradespeople, the DCU Max is the answer nine times out of ten. It’s a full-height aluminum commercial cap with roof rails, T-handle compression latches, and side access doors sized for ladders and long stock. If you want a cab-height work solution with a cleaner look, the CX Classic with the optional interior tie-downs works too.

Some parts are cross-compatible and some are model-specific. Locking handles and gas struts often share designs across CX Series, CX Classic, and DCU generations, while window seals are cut for the exact glass shape on your cap. When ordering, use your A.R.E. serial tag (usually inside the rear door frame) to make sure you get the correct fit.
